THE SPIRIT OF HAWAI'I

'Ōkolehao, Hawai'i’s first distilled spirit, rose to prominence during the Hawaiian monarch era and nearly vanished after the overthrow. Over a century later, Ola Brew is reviving it with a vertically integrated model of 100% Hawai'i-grown kī root from an Ola operated farm-to-bottle approach rooted in history and place.

Ola Brew is led by its two co-founders, bringing a combined 28 years of beverage industry experience. They pioneered Hawaiʻi’s first hard seltzer, created the state’s only hard juice, and built one of Hawaiʻi’s fastest-growing breweries. Now, with the foundation built, the opportunity is to take something truly distinctive to a global stage.

Built for Scale

Ola Brew’s expansive oceanfront distillery was built with capacity to support broader national and international growth. The facility was designed to produce up to 300,000 cases annually, while fermentation and agricultural capacity can expand alongside demand. For context, premium spirits brand Clase Azul reported production infrastructure of roughly 150,000 cases annually in 2022.

Hawaiian Ola Brewing Corporation (dba Ola Brew) is a Big Island based brewery with a focus on ethical and growth-oriented sourcing, working every day to help Hawai'i farmers increase their demand by ensuring a guaranteed market for their crops. By contracting Hawai'i-based farmers we are incentivizing a circular economy while creating more job opportunities within our local community.

Since launching in December 2017 we have seen non-stop growth and look forward to continuing to expand our current brewery while also building out our new ʻŌkolehao distillery and fine dining restaurant at Wainaku as well as our ki farm at Pauka'a with your help.
